Welcome Sophie!

Sophie Wren was born on November 2, 2010. She is the beautiful daughter of Kristal and Dave Mitchell and granddaughter to Cheryl and Micheal Belleville. Sophie was born in her home at 5:34pm after 48 hours and 15 minutes of labor. Kristal had a natural home birth with help from two midwives, Daddy, Aunt and Grandma. Kristal and Dave are grateful for their help.

Kristal is very eco-conscious which led her to choose cloth diapers and eco-friendly gdiapers for her little princess. (No she's not crazy, cloth diapers are easy!) She also enjoys watching Sophie smile while she sleeps, carrying her in a Moby wrap and learning how to take 2 minute showers. Well, maybe she's not enjoying that part!

Congratulation Kristal and Dave! We all welcome Sophie, another miracle in our wonderful, loving family!

Shield Each element of the shield is listed in the blazon. Each element has it's own meaning. I've listed the items below along with the meanings.-------------------------The Cross signifies Faith, Christianity and Service in the Crusades. It's red color signifies a warrior or martyr.-------------------------5 Gold Scallop shells signifies a traveller to far places. The Golden color signifies generosity and elevation of the mind.Traditionally, 5 scallop shells were granted to families who sent members to the Holy Land for Pilgrimage or to take part in a Crusade. The scallop shell has long been associated with the Christianity and is used in the baptismal rites.-------------------------The Off White (white/silver) background of the shield signifies peace and sincerity.-------------------------CrestThe Ox sits on top of the helm as the crest. It signifies valor and generosity.-------------------------HelmThe helmet is not a predefined item in the coat of arms. The artist can use whatever they feel fit. I used the helmet of a crusader for obvious reasons.-------------------------WreathThe wreath is also not a part of the blazon. If added it should contain six alternately colored bands. The colors consist of the main color, red and the metal, silver.I've already mentioned the meaning of these colors above.-------------------------MantleThe mantle is an ornamental part of the coat of arms. It is not described in the blazon and it's looks is left up to the artist.-------------------------I hope you all enjoy my version of the family Coat of Arms! I wish I could find the actual blazon listed somewhere!
